Generation 2 pet
Kingshot Moose
The Moose is the first pet whose skill belongs to a fight. Horror Stare runs for two hours, so it covers a whole rally window rather than a single march.

What Horror Stare does
Reduces enemy squad health for two hours.
Level it when your kingdom starts scheduling fights. Before that it is a stat stick that gates the Lion.
Horror Stare is a two-hour debuff on enemy squad health, so the Moose goes on the main march right before a Bear Hunt or a block of rallies. Fire it once, then send every march inside the window so all of them profit.
Trigger it here:
- At the start of a Bear Hunt or a rally block, so the two hours cover every march you send.
- During Kingdom of Power fighting phases where you attack in waves.
What it costs to level
Every figure here is counted out of the full level table, so it is the cumulative Pet Food you spend to reach that level, rather than the cost of the single step.
| Milestone | Cumulative Pet Food |
|---|---|
| Level 15 | 7,245 |
| Level 30 | 25,365 |
| Level 70 (max) | 188,955 |
At level 70 the Moose carries a 15.08% troop attack and defense bonus and 1,085,760 power. That bonus applies whether the skill is on cooldown or not, which is why a pet you never trigger is still worth levelling.
Pet Food cost and the troop bonus are set by the generation, so two pets of the same generation cost exactly the same to raise. Their power and their skill are what differ.
Where it sits in the chain
The Beast Cage unlocks in waves by server day, and most pets also need the previous one at a set level.
- Becomes available on server day 90, once you have Cheetah level 15.
- Levelling it opens Lion on day 140.
Tips worth knowing
- Two hours is long enough to plan around. Trigger it when the group is ready, not when you are.
- Lion needs Moose at level 15, and the Lion is the pet that digs up Forgehammers and Truegold.
Mistakes people make
- Firing it for a single solo march.
- Forgetting it entirely during an event and finding a fully charged pet skill after the window closed.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Moose worth it for a defensive player?
Horror Stare cuts enemy squad health for two hours, which helps whether you attack or defend inside that window. The pet also gates the Lion at level 15.
Why does the Moose have less power than the Cheetah?
Both cap at level 70 with the same 15.08% troop bonus and the same 188,955 Pet Food cost, but their base power differs: 1,085,760 for the Moose against 1,342,800 for the Cheetah.
