Kingshot Gilded Threads

Gilded Threads is one of the two cloth materials behind Governor Gear upgrades, and it is usually the one that runs out first.

Hoard it

Every Governor Gear upgrade step consumes two cloth materials at once, Gilded Threads and Satin. The amounts are set per step, and if either pile runs out the upgrade stops there. In practice Gilded Threads is the pile that runs out first for most players, which is why it deserves its own page.

The sources are the same three for both materials, event shops, Hall of Governors rewards and governor gear packs, so there is no clever farming trick. The only lever is refusing to spend either material until the upgrade can be finished.

The way I track it is simple: my Governor Gear budget is whichever of the two piles is smaller. The bigger pile is just waiting for the smaller one to catch up.

Save it or spend it?

Hoard it. It pairs with Satin, and being short on either one stalls the upgrade entirely.

Early game

Governor Gear is not open yet, and any Threads from early rewards just sit. That is fine.

Mid game

When Governor Gear upgrades start scoring in Hall of Governors, count Threads against Satin before you queue anything. Upgrade the piece that both piles can finish, inside the window.

Late game

Late game the piles are larger but the rule is the same. When an event shop offers both cloth materials, buy the one you have less of first.

Tips worth knowing

Track Threads and Satin together. The upgrade needs both, so the smaller pile is your real budget.
