Proven Arena Hero Lineup in Kingshot

In this guide I share everything I’ve learned from Gen 1 to Gen 5, so you don’t have to waste your attempts figuring it out.

Why Arena Challenges matter so much for your progress

The loot is the most important part in Kingshot Arena. Every win earns you Gems and Arena Tokens. You can trade these tokens in the Arena Shop for essential Kingshot items like Forge Hammers, XP books, Pet items etc. The absolute best items in that shop, though, are the Custom Mythic and Epic Hero Gear Chests. These chests let you choose the exact piece of gear you are missing. That makes the Arena the most reliable way to max out your Hero Equipment.

How to get most Arena Tokens possible in Kingshot

In the Arena, the only rank that matters is the one you hold at exactly 00:00 UTC (Daily Reset). That is the second the server calculates your rewards. Now, a standard battle animation takes about 20 seconds to finish. While you are locked in that animation watching your heroes fight, three other players can attack you, pushing you down the leaderboard before you even finish your match. That’s why you need to skip the animation with the Pause->Retreat option. The server actually decides who won the millisecond you tapped “Fight” – the animation is just playing for your entertainment. By skipping it, you can cram 5 minutes of fighting into 60 seconds.

Here is the Arena trick, you gonna wanna share with your alliance:

  1. Wait until 23:58 UTC (2 minutes before the daily reset).
    • Reason behind that is, that you will have less Arena Points without fighting and you will appear in fewer players Challenge Lists, hence less defeats (-5 Arena Points).
  2. Start a fight
    • Remember, the higher the position of your chosen enemy in your challenge list, the more Arena Points you get (position 1: 11 points, position 2 = 10 points , position 3 = 9 poinst etc…).
  3. The second the loading screen finishes, hit Pause (lower left) -> Retreat.
    • The game instantly reconciles the result. You get the win (or loss) immediately.

Using this method, you can spam 5 (to 10 attacks, if you pay 2.100 Gems) in the final minute of the day. You’ll skyrocket from the lower Ranks to higher Ranks. By the time your opponents realize you passed them, the server has already locked the rewards. And now let’s get to the actual Hero Lineups, that will allow you to crush your opponents.

Best Hero Lineup for Arena in Kingshot

Below I will show you a solid team for F2P players and then the absolute strongest setup available if you’re willing to spend money. When you are building these squads, make sure you copy the positioning exactly as you see it here.

Generation 1 | Best Hero Lineup for Arena (F2P)

Jabel starts the fight by controlling the crowd with Gallant Throw, which pins multiple enemies in place so they can’t attack. To keep her safe, Howard acts as the shield, using Shield Block to reduce the damage he takes and hold the frontline. Edwin backs them up with Detonate, a skill that gives his explosives a chance to stun enemies and pause their actions. While the enemies are pinned or stunned, Diana increases her attack speed with Sharpshooter to fire more arrows, and Chenko unleashes her Burst Fire barrage to damage anyone standing directly in front of her.

If you are willing to spend money, use Helga to lead the charge with Antler Assault, dealing area damage and stunning targets for a full second while knocking them back. Her passive skill Fury punishes attackers by increasing her own attack power whenever she takes damage. Beside her, Howard secures the defense using Shield Block to reduce incoming damage. In the backline, Jabel locks down remaining enemies with Gallant Throw, pinning them in place so they cannot act. With the opposition stunned and pinned, Diana activates Deadly Strike to boost her critical hit rate, while Chenko uses Weapon Upgrade to increase her raw attack stats and finish the fight quickly.

Generation 2 | Best Hero Lineup for Arena (F2P)

Surprisingly, Zoe actually belongs in the backline for this setup. Most players make the mistake of putting her in the frontline immediately, but she often takes too much damage there to be effective early on. The smarter play is to swap her in for Diana in the back row. From there, she supports the squad with Holy Might, which boosts everyone’s attack speed, and uses Shield Strike to amplify the damage enemies take by 25%. If an enemy flanker does manage to reach her, she still has Agony Rush to instantly heal herself when she drops below half health, keeping her alive long after other backliners would have died.

The lineup doesn’t change much from Generation 1, but swapping Diana for Marlin is a massive upgrade. His main skill, Tidal Rush, hits a group of enemies and immobilizes them, stopping them from moving or attacking for over a second. He adds to the chaos with Fermented Blow, tossing an explosive concoction that deals damage to everyone in the area. What makes him truly annoying to fight against is his passive, Lucky Hit, which automatically stuns his target after he lands a few basic attacks.

Generation 3 | Best Hero Lineup for Arena (F2P)

As F2P stick with your Gen 2 team because Gen 3 offers no free upgrades. But if you spend a little $, Petra and Jaeger are mandatory pickups because they introduce high-stakes burst damage and control. Petras Dichotomy deals heavy damage while either stunning the enemy or nerfing their attack, disrupting their rhythm immediately. Her passive Change of Fate rolls for random damage that can spike up pretty high, letting her randomly one-shot enemies, while Turn Card provides unpredictable heals to save your low-health allies. Jaegers Fatal Attraction stuns a group of enemies. While his own damage can be risky, his best asset is Rumormonger, which makes enemies take more damage from all sources. This debuff ensures that when Petra lands those high-roll attacks, the enemy tank melts instantly.

To optimize your team for Kingshot Hero Generation 3, swap Saul for Jaeger. While the Generation 2 lineup remains viable, Jaeger is the definitive choice for a top-tier Arena setup.

The more cost-effective alternative Arena Setup is this one:

The true shift occurs in Generation 4, where the meta demands a full roster of new heroes. Sticking to older builds is no longer viable if you want to keep up with the current power curve.

Stay current in Generation 5 by making one simple change: swapping in Long Fei to keep your team up to date.
