Kingdom of Power Guide

The Ultimate Kingshot KvK Guide: From Preparation to Victory

Kingdom versus Kingdom (KvK), also known as the Kingdom of Power, is a month-long mega-event where servers clash for the prestigious High King title, exclusive city skins, and Mythic Hero shards. Success requires more than just power—it requires discipline, hoarding, and kingdom-wide coordination.

I. Pre-KvK: The Preparation Mindset

Success in KvK is decided two weeks before the event even begins.

The “Hoarding” Timeline

  • 2–3 Weeks Before: Stop using Speedups, Mythic Shards, Forge Hammers, and Widgets. Hoarding these is the only way to hit the top ranking rewards.
  • Matchmaking Day: Leaders must initiate Diplomacy. Successful kingdoms often agree on “Rules of Engagement” (e.g., no hitting resource tiles) to prevent players from quitting the game.
  • Recon: Create a “scout” character in the opponent’s kingdom to check their hive locations and identify their strongest “whales.”

Kingdom Behavior & Etiquette

  • Unity is Power: Resolve all internal civil wars. A kingdom that fights itself will be easily “zeroed” by the enemy.
  • Respect the Spenders: Do not target high-spending players in your own kingdom. They are your primary defense; if they leave, the server loses its protection.
  • Kingdom-Wide NAP: Most servers implement a “No Aggression Pact” leading up to KvK to allow everyone to gather resources safely.

II. Phase 1: Matchmaking (2 Days)

The system pairs kingdoms based on the total troop power of the top 100 governors.

  • Day 1: The system assesses power.
  • Day 2: The opponent is revealed. Use this day to finalize your battle plans and scouting.

III. Phase 2: Preparation (6 Days)

This phase is a points race. The winning kingdom receives double rewards and a +20% Healing Speed buff for the upcoming war.

IV. Phase 3: Battle Phase (The War)

The borders open at 10:00 UTC and close at 22:00 UTC. The actual Castle Battle occurs from 12:00 to 18:00 UTC.

The Rules of Combat

  • The 3-Level Rule: You can only attack/be attacked by cities within 3 levels of your Town Center.
  • Teleports: You get 3 free cross-kingdom teleports. Use them strategically to join rallies or escape danger.
  • The High King: If the attacking kingdom captures the enemy King’s Castle, their leader becomes High King of both servers, gaining the power to hand out global buffs and penalties.

Advanced Combat Tactics

  • Rallying: Never solo-attack a strong city. Use Rallies to overwhelm the defender and fill their infirmary.
  • The Infirmary Trap: Once a player’s infirmary is full, every troop they lose is a permanent death. Always check your infirmary and heal in small batches.
  • Reinforcement: In the Castle Battle, keep a constant stream of fresh marches moving into the castle to replace wounded troops.

V. Phase 4: Field Triage & Recovery

After the war ends, you have a window to revive your fallen troops.

  • Field Triage: Revive 30% to 90% of troops lost in city attacks or field battles. Use Medical Satchels or ask for Alliance Assists.
  • Rescue Orders: You have 20 orders to help allies. Prioritize helping your active fighters first.
  • Enlistment Office: Troops lost in the Castle Battle (70% return) go here. You recover them over time using Enlistment Petitions.

VI. Summary: The KvK “Big Don’ts”

  1. DON’T fight with a full infirmary. Permanent troop loss is the fastest way to ruin your account.
  2. DON’T stay unshielded. If you aren’t active during the 10:00–22:00 UTC window, bubble up.
  3. DON’T waste Kingdom Coins. Save them for Mythic Hero Shards or Legendary Gear Materials in the KvK Shop.
  4. DON’T ignore your alliance. KvK is won by coordination, not solo play. Follow your leader’s markers and rally calls.
